Ortofon was established in 1918 by the two Danish engineers, Axel Petersen and Arnold Poulsen. Now Ortofon is a micro-mechanical powerhouse, which develops and manufactures the world acclaimed phono cartridges for vinyl records.

Ortofon 2M Red
Step into the music with the 2M Red
With the 2M Red you will hear the music come to life on its own terms. It is like taking a step into music itself. This is our entry-level cartridge in the series, but what an entry.
The 2M Red features a tipped Elliptical diamond and split pole pins with a copper wire. The engine provides an increased output of 5.5 mV and an optimized sound reproduction and a high level of sonic accuracy.
Designed for easy mounting of the cartridge, and for the weight and size to fit the most common turntables on the market today. The 2M Series provides excellent compatibility when used in an assortment of playback systems and with a wide variety of phono preamps.

The goal for any cartridge should be to reproduce the sound as close to the artists vision as possible, and the 2M blue takes you further on this journey of authenticity. With the 2M Blue you get serious about listening to vinyl.

Ortofon MC Quintet Black S
The Ortofon Quintet Black S is the best example of the Quintet series' overall excellence. The Quintet Black S is graced with a Nude Shibata diamond, considered one of the best stylus profiles available, mounted on a high-performance Sapphire cantilever.
The Shibata’s slim, highly polished profile allows an exceedingly wide contact area to the walls of the groove and ensures detailed and pure reproduction throughout the spectrum, including even the most high frequency groove information.

Ortofon MC Cadenza Black
The Ortofon MC Cadenza Black is the best of everything, true to the groove with resolution and accurate insight into each recording.
The Cadenza Black model uses a Nude Shibata stylus with a boron cantilever. The effective mass of the stylus/cantilever system is extremely low due to the use of a very thin boron rod. This material is extremely stiff and even more lightweight than aluminum.
It also uses the WRD/Wide Range Damping-system applied for MC Windfeld, MC A90, MC Anna, Xpression, and MC A95 cartridges, controlling the high and low frequency damping separately.The coil wire is the famous Ortofon Aucurum wire, which is a gold-plated 6NX copper wire. The Cadenza Black is high performing on areas like detail, consistency, and sound staging.
